Jaquell Hubner

Chief Operations Officer & Festival Instructor

Jaquell Hubner began playing the cello at age five. She grew up in Plain City, Utah in a musically talented family that fostered her deep love for music. Jaquell studied cello with Dr. Robert Tueller in Rexburg, Idaho, and Pegsoon Whang in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University–Idaho (2024).

Jaquell has performed with renowned artists including Joshua Roman, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and William Hagen, and has substituted with orchestras throughout Utah and Idaho, including the Idaho Falls Symphony. She currently teaches orchestra at Legacy Junior High School and maintains a private studio in Utah, where she enjoys working with young musicians and inspiring a lifelong love of music. In her free time she loves hiking, rock climbing, playing board games and spending time with her husband.

As Chief Operations Officer of the Rocky Mountain Cello Festival, Jaquell helps coordinate festival logistics and prepare classes to ensure a meaningful experience for students and faculty. She is passionate about music education, community-building, and supporting young musicians both on and off the stage.
